Definitely one of the better books in the Thursday Murder Club series, we’re starting to move away from the espionage and international smuggling operations and back to dealing with the murder of a friend of the Thursday Murder Club. We still have drug dealing as a topic, but that’s more a MacGuffin which sets the story in motion.
The story of Elizabeth and her husband Stephen dealing with his dementia is very touching and makes this story stand out from the rest of the books in this series.
Chris and Donna seemed to lack much of a role in this story, which is a shame as they’re usually pretty fun characters.
