Feminist murder mystery books set in a high school where the main detectives are a teenage girl who wants to become a detective and her best friend who is a teenage girl who wants to become an investigative journalist, where the story starts with the most popular girl in school (who is called Heather) asking the main character to investigate her boyfriend whom she thinks is cheating on her. And the police don’t even think the first murder was a murder. And there’s also a character called Colin/Collin/Collins.
It’s weird that there’s more than one book in this genre.
This was a pretty enjoyable sequel to Murder on a School Night, though I don’t think quite as good as the original. The setting seemed a little contrived and the killer was predictable. I did still enjoy it though, and hope to read more Kerry and Annie mysteries in the future.
