How to Find a Missing Girl by Victoria Wlosok

Title: How to Find a Missing Girl

Review

This is an overtly queer feminist murder mystery book.

It is set in a high school where a teenage girl has started a detective agency and is asked by the most popular girl in school, Heather, who happens to be the protagonist’s ex-girlfriend, to investigate her (Heather’s) boyfriend whom she thinks is cheating on her. Heather promptly disappears, just like the protagonist’s sister did a year earlier.

The the naming of the book to the title design, this is trying to appeal to fans of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder but it’s just not as good. Not even nearly.

The characters are annoying and I feel no sympathy for any of them.
